The rioters were blood-thirsty and, finding no action at the Royal Hotel (other than smashing a few windows) proceeded on to the New Meeting Chapel, which they destroyed. This is a drawing by P. H. Witton, Jr., after the destruction of the the New Meeting Chapel. Witton made several other drawings of the results of the rampage that lasted three days; these drawings included several Dissenter houses that were destroyed.
